18 km from the Villas This is a remote, sandy beach located on the western side of Lefkada, between Agios Nikitas and Kathisma beaches. It can be reached by boat or via a hiking trail from the village of Agios Nikitas.

Castle of Agia Mavra

Located near the entrance of the island, the Castle of Agia Mavra (Santa Mavra) was built in the 14th century by the Sicilian Ioannis Orsini, in order to protect the island’s capital from pirates and other enemies. Throughout the centuries, the castle has undergone several renovations, notably by the Venetians in the 15th century, and it is now kept in a well-preserved condition.
Dimossari Waterfalls

Situated near the village of Nidri, the Dimossari Waterfall (also known as Nidri Waterfall) is a little paradise of greenery, ideal for refreshing dips on hot summer days. Oozing tranquillity and serenity, this waterfall ends in a lake with spectacular rocks. You can easily reach it from Nidri, by following the signs and walking through the gorge.
Lefkada town

The capital of Lefkada is home to a colourful mosaic of buildings, two-storied houses, churches and cobbled streets. Lefkada town bears the marks of the strong earthquakes that nearly destroyed the island in 1867 and 1948. The new earthquake-resistant buildings, with their characteristic coloured metal sheets, add an interesting aspect to the architecture of the town.
Kitesurfing at the area of Mili

If you prefer kitesurfing, the area of Mili, near Lefkada town, is ideal for you. If you feel even braver, you can do paragliding; it will be an unforgettable experience with an exciting landing at Kathisma, one of Lefkada’s most gorgeous beaches.
The monastery of Faneromeni

The monastery of Faneromeni was built in the green pine clad hill, on the west side of the town, and boasts a magical view of Aghios Ioannis, Gira and the Castle. Its history comes from centuries ago, starting from the first apostolic years. For this reason, it is one of the most significant monuments of the island, and its only monastery that still serves as a residence of the clergy.
Sunset at the lighthouse

Located at Cape Lefkatas, on the south-western tip of the island, the lighthouse stands tall on steep rocks, and visitors are always in awe of its sight. At sunset the sky gives the sea reddish hues, resulting in an amazing view. Legend has it that ancient poet Sappho jumped from the cliffs, after being rejected by Phaon.
